Isa Messiah (Ŷéshúa)
Who was Ŷéshúa/Isa/Jesus? What he was actually? What Quran says about him? Is Quran teaching to disbelieve Jesus? To know about all these questions related to Jesus, read the article below… While a group of people believed Prophet Isa (Ŷéshúa/Jesus), at the other side, many people disbelieved him. Specially, the Jews people completely disbelieved Prophet Isa in different ways. The Jews people believe that:
- Isa is not the Messiah, or any Messenger of GOD.
- Isa did all the miracles with the power of Devil, or maybe did just some magic.
- Isa’s teachings are false, and not from GOD.
- The Jews have killed Isa successfully forever.
- GOD never raised Isa up to Heaven.
Most probably, these beliefs were accepted by the Jews because, the Jews Chief Priests gave the Soldiers a big amount of money to spread false story about Isa. As it is written that:
When the chief priests had met with the elders and devised a plan, they gave the soldiers a large sum of money, telling them, “You are to say: ‘His (Isa’s) disciples came during the night and stole him away while we were asleep’. If this report gets to the governor, we will satisfy him and keep you out of trouble”. So the soldiers took the money and did as they were instructed. And this story has been widely circulated among the Jews to this very day.
(Bible, Matthew 28:12-15)
To confirm Moses & the Tâẃrah Allah revealed Injeel. In the same way, Allah revealed Quran to confirm Isa Messiah & the Injeel to the disbelievers. Let us check what Quran teaches us about Isa Messiah:
The Messiah Isa, son of Maryam, was a Messenger of Allah and His Word, which He (Allah) bestowed on Maryam and a Spirit created by Him.
(Quran, An Nisa 4:171)
Verily, the likeness of Isa before Allah is the likeness of Adam (as both Adam and Isa were created by Allah and were not born in the general way like everyone). He created him (Adam) from dust, then (He) said to him: “Be” – and he was. (This is) the truth from your Lord, so be not of those who doubt.
(Quran, Al Imran 3:59-60)
… the angels said, “O Maryam! Verily Allah gives you the glad tidings of a Word from Him, his name will be the Messiah Isa, the son of Maryam, held in honor in this world and in the Hereafter, and will be one of those who are near to Allah. He will speak to the people in the cradle and in manhood, and he will be one of the Righteous.”
(Quran, Al Imran 3:45-46)
“I (Allah) made her and her son (Isa) a sign for all the beings”
(Quran, Al Anbiya 21:91)
He (Allah) will teach him (Isa) the Scripture, and faultless speech of wisdom of the Prophets, and the Towrat and the Injeel.
(Quran, Al Imran 3:48)
“I (Allah) gave Isa, son of Maryam, profound miracles and supported him with the Holy Spirit”
(Quran, Al Baqarah 2:87)
He was not more than a servant whom I blessed, and I (Allah) sent him (Isa) as an Example for the Children of Israîl.
(Quran, Az Zukhruf 43:59)
“He (Isa) shall be a known sign for (the coming of) the (Last) Hour (the Day of Resurrection, while Isa will descent on the earth and will judge mankind justly). Therefore have no doubt concerning it (the Resurrection Day).”
(Quran, Az Zukhruf 43:61)
When Isa came with clear Proofs, he said: “I have come to you with Prophethood, and in order to make clear to you some of the points in which you differ. Therefore fear Allah and obey me (Isa).”
(Quran, Az Zukhruf 43:63)
… as a messenger to the Children of Israîl: “I (Isa) have come to you with a sign from your Lord, that I design for you out of clay, a figure like that of a bird, and breathe into it, and it becomes a bird by Allah’s Leave; and I heal him who was born blind, and the leper, and I bring the dead to life by Allah’s Leave. And I inform you of what you eat, and what you store in your houses. Surely, in that is a sign for you, if you are believers. And I have come confirming that which was before me of the Towrat and to make lawful to you part of what was forbidden to you, and I have come to you with a proof from your Lord. So fear Allah and obey me.”
(Quran, Al Imran 3:49-50)
…”I (Isa) am a servant of Allah. He has given me the Scripture (Injeel), and has appointed me a Prophet. He made me blessed wherever I go, and enjoined me to observe the Contact Prayers (Salat) and the obligatory charity (Zakat) for as long as I live. I am to honor my mother; He did not make me a disobedient rebel. And peace be upon me the day I was born, the day I die, and the day I shall be raised alive”. That was Isa, the son of Mary, and this is the truth of this matter…
(Quran, Maryam 19:30-34)
Then when Isa came to know of their (the Children of Israîl) disbelief, he said: “Who will be my helper in Allah’s Cause?” The disciples (of Isa) said: “We are the helpers of Allah; we believe in Allah, and bear witness that we are Submitter to Allah (therefore Muslim).” Our Lord! We believe in what You have sent down, and we follow the Messenger (Isa);
(Quran, Al Imran 3:52-53)
“I (Allah) placed in the hearts of his (Isa’s) followers kindness and mercy”
(Quran, Al Hadeed 57:27)
And they (the disbelievers) plotted (to kill Isa), and Allah plotted too … … Allah said: “O Isa! I will make you sleep and raise you to Myself and clear you of those who disbelieve, and will make those who follow you superior to those who disbelieve till the Day of Resurrection …”
(Quran, Al Imran 3:54-55)
“… because of their (Jewish Rabbi, Priests & other disbelievers) saying, ‘We killed Messiah Isa, son of Maryam, the Messenger of Allah’, – but they never killed him, they never killed him by crucifixion, but it appeared so to them (that they have killed him successfully), and those who differ therein are full of doubts. For surely: they killed him not.”
(Quran, An Nisa 4:157)
“… Allah raised him (Isa) up (to Heaven) …”
(Quran, An Nisa 4:158)
Finally we can say that, Isa was the Messiah and the Prophet of Almighty Creator Allah. If a person thinks himself as Muslim then he has to believe on all the above facts that Allah taught through Quran about Prophet Isa.
So, let’s check some questions:
- Is Quran teaching Isa Messiah as someone of dishonor or disrespect?
- Is Quran disagreeing any fact about Isa Messiah?
- It is sure that the answer of these questions are, NO.
